Post your bets

Ok everyone, time to post your bets. Here, for the record, and so there can be no changies later on, are Josh and I's thoughts:

ME
January 15th, just after midnight
8 hours of labor
A girl
9 pounds 2 ounces, 20 inches long

JOSH
December 31st, 9:45pm
15 hours of labor
A girl
8 pounds 3 ounces, 19.5 inches

facts that may shape your guesses (because I am soo nice that way):
My "official" estimated due date is Jan 6th
Zeke was 2 and a half weeks late
I was in labor with him for 38 hours
He weighed 9 pounds 7 ounces and was 22 inches long

I'll say Jan 10th at 5:30 am and that it will be a girl who is 9 lbs exactly! All random guesses. So I didn't know you were a non-circumcising person. My hubby and I are having to make that decision now and we're not sure. I did some googling and afterwards thought that since it is just cosmetic, maybe we should just skip it. I'm not concerned about protecting him from STDs since we in our church teach/believe in no sex until marriage. Other than that, it seems the only reason for it is the social thing and it seems like that reason is void anyway. Is that similar to your thinking on it?

Trish- Yes, that is pretty much what our thinking was. We felt that a false sense of STD security would be more of a negative than a positive, even, and anyways studies have actually been showing that while it's lowering AIDS rates in Africa it does no such thing here.
It's basic knowledge on a worldwide level that circumcision is cosmetic and has only gotten as popular in the U.S. as it is right now because of a "well that is what we do" mentality. And like you said, even that is mute. It's about 50/50 these days.
I actually found out that non-religious circumcision began as a way to keep boys from masturbating, since doctors thought masturbation would be harder that way, lol.
It's a surgery we just thought wasnt worth anything.
